International EFMD Higher Education Research Conference
The Lorange Institute of Business is hosting the International EFMD Higher Education Research Conference on its campus in Horgen.

The conference will serve as a platform for bringing together researchers with a focus on higher education and a specific interest in business schools to discuss their original work, particularly on the following general topic areas:

• Internationalizing higher education institutions (HEI) in a global context
• Leading and changing business schools and HEIs
• Measurement and determinants of HEI and business school performance
• Value of rankings and accreditations
• Innovation and entrepreneurship capacities in HEIs and business schools

Two prestigious scholars of the field will present keynote speeches at the conference:

Jürgen Enders
Professor Enders will talk on ‘The Academic Arms Race: Ranking, Branding and Global Competition’.
Professor at the School of Management and Governance and Director of the Centre for Higher Education Policy Studies (CHEPS), University of Twente, The Netherlands. He also serves as one of the leaders of the research program on ‘Governance of Innovation, Technology, Higher Education, and Research’ of the Institute for Governance Studies (IGS) at the University of Twente.

Howard Thomas
Fellow of the British Academy of Management, American Academy of Management, Academy of Social Sciences, Institute of Directors and the Strategic Management Society. He is LKCSB Chair in Strategic Management and Dean of Lee Kong Chian School of Business at Singapore Management University.
